Fitz, Skillet, Golden Joe and Peanut are travelling through the desert, having left the city behind them. Joe falls prey to a large bird that swoops down and carries him off. Later, Peanut simply vanishes in a flash of light. Fitz and Skillet, now travelling alone, encounter odd things such as bugs that burrow into the sand then errupt a spout of green liquid from the ground... cacti with hidden robotic pincer arms.. and a bird who's decapitated head grows insect legs and scurries off.
Later, Fitz is enjoying some empty beer bottle shooting infront of their home made of spit and sand. Suddenly someone starts firing at them and a battle ensues. After a bit of fighting, Fitz remembers that they have a force field and uses it. The mysterious shooter now reveals herself to be a tall scantily dressed woman with several guns and a disturbing bit of stubble on her face. She starts rambling about someone named Cinnamon and the Square guy having her "all in a bind" and then mentions three others named Brandy, Breezy and Butterfly who "got out" and found the New Angel. Later, they are inside the spit house and and she reveals that her name is Heavenleigh. She then gives Fitz a bag... inside is a silver bullet. She tells him it's the only thing that can kill her and that he should load it into his gun before she turns into the she-wolf.

Fitz: I'll tell you right now what is cool, and that is a gun that never runs out of ammo.
Fitz: Suddenly I remembered, oh we have a force field.
Leigh: Howdy partner, Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?
Leigh: I've never blown a job in my life.
Fitz: What's your name?
Leigh: It's Leigh, I add Heaven infront of it... so you know what that means when you put them together.
Leigh: Boom, boom, bommerang baby!
